Hopefully by now, you know that I’m a children’s book author. I have an educational traveling series as well as a rhyming empowerment book.
In the last year or so, I’ve been teasing a new book in the works in a brand new genre.
Despite my inner imposter syndrome, I have officially pressed publish and we’re releasing on December 1st!!
Reflections, my poetry chapbook, will be hitting the shelves and headed into reader’s hands soon.
This book is a journey of life. From the innocence of childhood, through the sadness of heartbreak, into the up hill climb that is perseverance, until you’ve finally reached the growth stage.
I hope this book allows you to not only follow me on this journey, but reflect on your own as well. I hope you resonate with the poems within and know that you are not alone. I hope this encourages you to recognize just how far you’ve come.
This book is something I have been working on for years. It’s something that has actually been finished for months now. It was only my own fear keeping me scared to press publish.
Unlike my fun, adventurous children’s books, this is vulnerable, real, and honest. Poetry holds those things. However, I am choosing to not let the fear stop me.
I pressed publish, and I’m not taking it back. I have gotten such great response from those that have read it, and the consensus is that readers feel seen. That is all I could ever hope for.
